Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling unit covers, working off electrical drawings and schematics, planning out jobs, and prepping materials. The role involves hole punching, wiring, and harnessing tasks. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble unit covers according to specifications.

• Work off of electrical drawings and schematics to complete tasks.

• Plan and prepare materials required for each job.

• Perform hole punching, wiring, and harnessing tasks.

• Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in electrical assembly.

• Ability to read basic schematics.

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

• Experience with electronics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electrical technician certification.

• Ability to work with complex schematics.

• Leadership skills.

Work Environment

The company manufactures custom systems for air flow units and is divided into different departments, all of which are temperature controlled and fast-paced. Building 1 houses the fabrication department, which includes machine operating and welding, alongside the electrical and mechanical assembly departments. Building 2 focuses on control panel assemblies, with both electrical and electronics work. The work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break, totaling 8 paid hours per day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hamilton, Ontario.
