  • Overview

    This position is in support of LOGCAP

    Responsible for the day-to-day operational execution of all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions for the customer across the Area of Responsibility, and for the EHS Program. The EHS Manager, Senior will supervise an EHS leadership team and provide leadership to a multi-cultural workforce. The EHS Manager, Senior has responsibility for overall problem resolution, planning, execution, and leadership of EHS functions across the Program and serves as a member of the Sr. Leadership team. The EHS Manager, Senior must demonstrate exemplary management and leadership capabilities, especially in the areas of collaboration, team building, talent development, fiscal and human resources management, and process improvement. The EHS Manager, Senior respects and responds to the Voice of the Customer (VOC); leads the Program Team to the highest level of execution of the Performance Work Statement (PWS); and ensures the alignment of the program with the vision and goals of the Customer and V2X.

    Responsibilities

    • This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

    • Supervision and Management

    • Plans, coordinates, administers, and oversees all environmental, safety and health program activity

    • Coordination with Sr. Leadership and customer Sr. Leadership

    • Develop EHS office budgets and accounts for expenditures

    • Reviews reports, develops and presents presentations, and provides oversite in the establishment and execution of policies and procedures

    • Performs other duties and assignments as required

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

    • High School graduate

    • Must have a US driver's license and be able to obtain an International Driver's Permit.

    • Must be CAC eligible and/or the ability to obtain a CAC

    • Preferred Education/Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or other engineering or science degree with courses in Environmental, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, and Safety, PMP, CSP, CIH, CFPS, CHMM, or Professional Engineer certifications

    • Experience:

    • A minimum of 12 - 15 years of EHS Program Management operations experience.

    • Ten (10) years specialized experience in progressively responsible positions encompassing the following: understanding of operational planning, logistics, data collection and a broad knowledge of the organization and functions of Environmental Safety and Health.

    • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in EHS Management.

    • Experience in Army Installation Safety preferred

    • Must be knowledgeable in the following subject areas: General Industry, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Safety Training, Radiation Protection, Hazardous Communication, Confined Space Operations, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Blood Borne Pathogens, Medical Surveillance, Industrial Hygiene, Job Hazard Analysis, Sight Protection, Safety Inspections, and Accident Investigation and Reporting Procedures.

    • ISO 14000 Environmental Management Programs, Pollution Prevention, Integrated Solid Waste Management, Overall Compliance.

    • MANDATORY JOB QUALIFICATIONS for Vectrus LOGCAP positions:

    • As a precondition to charge more than 50% of their time to LOGCAP, must be able, willing and ready to deploy to domestic and international locations, including on a temporary basis and / or as a member of the V2X Rapid Deployment Team (RDT). These locations can include austere, remote, and hazardous areas where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

    • Skills

    • Extensive military experience in EHS Management and operations or equivalent civilian experience required.

    • Must have military or industrial EHS training and experience that have provided a broad and comprehensive knowledge of the theory, principles and methods required to plan, track, and execute a robust EHS program.

    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

    • Prior safety management experience in the military at unit or installation level, with a good knowledge of the Army Safety Program and the Army Environmental Program.

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills

    • Knowledge of AR 385-10, DA PAM 385-10, AR 200-1, OEBGD, OSHA standards 29 CFR 1910 and 1926; 49 CFR HAZMAT; 40 CFR, NIOSH, and ANSI safety standards as well as all local governance and Host Nation laws.

    • Ability to handle a fast-paced working environment.

    • Ability to be flexible and handle changing requirements.

    • Working Conditions:

    • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).

    • Physical Requirements:

    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
