Duties and responsibilities• Setup and stock station with all necessary supplies, set up or break down dishwashing area.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
• Change dishwater in dish machine every hour, Assemble/disassemble dish machine.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
• Comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Always strives to exceed guest's expectations.
• Complete kitchen tasks, such as clean up and breakdown of the kitchen.
• Follow direction of management. Be a team player and assist wherever directed.
• Dispose of trash from bins and containers.
• High dusting.
• Polish furniture and room accessories.
• Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed.
• Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered.
• Manage and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning calendars. Once cleaning duties are completed, resume shift as Dishwasher.
QualificationsThis role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors (non-slip shoes are required), garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals. Dishwasher are on their feet most of the time and often carry heavy boxes of food, dishes, and drinks. The work can be hectic and fast paced. During busy dining periods, they are under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently. They must be able to work well under these conditions and be highly productive as a team with entire staff to ensure that customers receive prompt service.
