The Director of Supply Chain Data Management is responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and management of data architecture, data stewardship, and data governance practices across the entire internal and external value chain. This role focuses on ensuring that supply chain and repair operations data is accurate, available, accessible, and aligned with business
objectives. The director will collaborate closely with cross-functional business teams, IT, and partners, to drive strategic data initiatives that enable delivery of high-fidelity business insights, advanced analytics, data-driven decision-making, and attainment of Operational Excellence priorities.
Ideal hire will work out of our Lincolnshire, IL office. Would also consider Holtsville, NY office or near a one of the core business locations
Data Strategy & Architecture:
Develop and lead the execution of the supply chain data management strategy to support business objectives and operational needs.
In partnership with IT, design and implement robust data architecture frameworks, ensuring efficient data flows, integrations, and structures across supply chain systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS, and other data management systems).
Ensure the data architecture supports agility, resilience and performance of the end-toend supply chain and repair ecosystem and is future-ready, capable of easily incorporating new and changing data requirements.
· Establish approach for management of data elements within semantic layer models.
· Evaluate current data management technologies and processes and recommend enhancements that will improve data quality and accessibility.
· Establish protocols and standards to collect, centralize and integrate external data flows.
· Collaborate with IT and other technical teams to optimize data storage, data modeling, and data retrieval processes.
Data Stewardship & Governance:
· Establish and oversee strategies for managing data governance practices, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the end-to-end value chain.
· Lead overall data stewardship, ensuring proper oversight of supply chain and repair operations data and its use in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
· Lead cross-functional data stewardship efforts to ensure consistent definitions and data standards across internal departments and the external partner community.
· Define policies and quality standards for managing external partner data on behalf of the global supply chain and repair organization, including data elements & attributes, timing & synchronization requirements, data flow expectations, integration &
automation, etc.
· Lead external partner and/or customer engagements to drive compliance with global supply chain and repair data policies and quality standards.
· Establish and oversee data auditing and validation standards to ensure data availability and integrity; identify gaps and report findings to stakeholders.
· Lead data maturity and data remediation programs to ensure timely availability of trustworthy data.
· Develop and manage procedures for gathering and prioritizing new and existing business analytics use cases and establish methods to identify supporting data requirements.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that data management activities align with the broader organizational data governance framework.
· Establish methods and cadence for measuring global supply chain and repair data maturity, integrity, availability, and analytics enablement.
Data Analytics & Reporting:
· Lead initiatives to enhance the use of data analytics and reporting within the supply chain to support data-driven decision-making.
· Partner with business analysts to create actionable insights from data, enhancing performance in areas such as demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, supplier management, cost optimization, transportation & logistics, and repair operations.
Collaboration & Leadership:
· Build and manage a high-performing team of data professionals, providing mentoring, training, and development to enhance their skills and capabilities.
· Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of data requirements and outcomes.
· Collaborate with supply chain and repair leadership and other business units to understand their data needs and ensure that data management practices support business goals.
· Lead cross-functional initiatives that leverage supply chain data to business transformation and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Security:
· Ensure that supply chain data management practices comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and data privacy laws.
· Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive supply chain data and protect it from unauthorized access or breaches.
· Manage risk associated with data storage, transfer, and usage, particularly as it relates to third-party vendors and partners.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's strongly preferred).
15+ years of experience in data management, with a focus on supply chain operations, data architecture, and governance.
Master's strongly preferred
Certifications in data governance or supply chain management.
Experience with supply chain analytics.
Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level data architecture, data stewardship and data governance frameworks.
Expertise in supply chain systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and data management platforms.
Strong understanding of data privacy, security practices, and compliance requirements.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and solutions.

Salary: USD 170400.00 - USD 255600.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
