  • Sugar Hollow Solar is hiring a Director of Sales to serve as the leader of both our residential and commercial sales teams.  This key position is responsible for formulating and executing comprehensive sales strategies, leading, mentoring and inspiring both high-performance sales teams, identifying new markets and building relationships and utilizing insights to adapt sales strategies to maintain our competitive edge.

    Essential Functions

    • Formulate and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
    • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and innovative sales approaches
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals
    • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture within the SHS sales team
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
    • Work closely with marketing, product development and sales operations teams to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives
    • Lead major client negotiations and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
    • Utilize data analytics to assess sales performance, identify trends, and implement strategies for improvement
    • Develop and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics
    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
    • Utilize insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge
    • Provide valuable input to product development based on market demands and customer feedback
    • Collaborate with sales operations and finance teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and plans
    • Monitor performance against forecasts and implement adjustments as needed

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field.
    • 5+ Years in a similar role
    • 7+ Years operating in a sales environment
    • Must have a great command of Google Workspace, and CRMs
    • Renewable energy industry knowledge and experience preferred

    • Proven experience as a successful Sales Director or in a similar leadership role
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve and exceed targets
    • Demonstrated ability of inner-departmental collaboration with successful outcomes
    • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs and competitor activities
    • Strong data analytics abilities
    • Ability to and track record of successfully developing commission based compensation structures
