Our client is looking for a qualified candidate who has experience working within a Manufacturing space, preferred Semiconductor, however, open.

    Job Overview:

    The Quality Director in the semiconductor industry is responsible for overseeing and directing all quality assurance activities within the company. This includes ensuring that products meet customer and regulatory requirements, maintaining the quality management system, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the semiconductor industry and a proven track record of managing quality assurance programs.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or relevant industry standards.

    • Compliance: Ensure all products and processes comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory bodies.

    • Leadership: Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

    • Audits: Plan and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

    • Customer Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

    • Quality Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, using data to drive improvement initiatives.

    • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.

    • Supplier Quality Management: Develop and manage supplier quality programs to ensure incoming materials meet company standards.

    • New Product Introduction (NPI): Oversee quality aspects of new product development, including design reviews, validation, and qualification processes.

    • Training: Develop and deliver quality training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.

    Requirements and Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

    • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the semiconductor industry.

    • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.

    • Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and regulatory standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.).

    • Proven experience in conducting audits and managing compliance programs.

    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
