    Responsibilities

    · Implement and improve preventive maintenance procedures.

    · Manage and optimize mechanical workshops.

    · Develop and improve maintenance strategies and related performance indicators.

    · Monitor budget and improve maintenance costs (cost per mile, fix costs vs variable costs).

    · Manage damaged equipment.

    · Manage parts inventory and value of it across all workshops.

    · Manage and lead a team of over 20 technicians & 3 supervisors spread across 4 shops.

    · Develop and maintain a network of suppliers for equipment maintenance.

    · Negotiate quotes for work related to equipment repairs.

    · Participate in the configuration and definition of equipment specifications.

    · Participate in analysis, operational profitability, and return on investment projects.

    · Tour Garage area on a routine basis to ensure that work is performed correctly.

    · Responds to questions promptly and provides assistance when necessary.

    · Lead, coach, and develop team and ensure all review and succession is completed.

    · All other tasks related to the position.

    Monitor budget and improve maintenance costs.

    Requirements:

    Required Skills

    · Ability to manage and mobilize multiple teams, excellent leadership.

    · Ability to manage many requests and files at the same time.

    · Ability to work under pressure.

    · General mechanical knowledge (transport, an asset).

    · Understanding of industry safety standards for commercial vehicles

    · Good analytical skills and recognized for its efficiency in operations.

    · Excellent communicate skills.

    · The ability to work in a team.

    · Structured, rigorous, sense of organization and autonomy.

    · Detail oriented.

    · Experience in the trucking industry.

    Requirements

    · Five Years or more of experience in Maintenance for fleet facility.

    · Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, mainly outlook and Excel

    · Ability to use Fleet maintenance management software (Work Orders, Inventory, Purchase Orders, Productivity, Preventive maintenance planning, etc…)

    · English, written and spoken, and Spanish (an asset)

    · Knowledge of United States DOT Regulations.

    · Travel is required.

    · Valid driver license and passport.
