    We are in search of a Director of Finance to join our team in the healthcare and social assistance industry, based in Weymouth, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be tasked with providing financial analysis and reporting on new programs, contracts, and initiatives, and overseeing the organization's financial planning and accounting practices.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and plan short and long-range accounting programs in collaboration with the CEO, focusing on budgeting, profit analysis, accounting systems, Medicare cost reporting, and internal auditing.

    • Direct financial accounting functions to ensure timely, regular, and accurate reporting of financial information.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and audit recommendations.

    • Review and approve financial statements, including balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and analysis of variances in accounts, ratios, income/expense, as well as investment analysis.

    • Review all third-party contracts, monitor contract revenues, and manage care contract performance.

    • Develop and implement a set of internal controls that align with industry best practices.

    • Oversee the annual financial audit, other special audits including managed care contract performance and funds flow reviews.

    • Coordinate the preparation and issuance of the organization's annual reports.

    • Direct the preparation of statistical information and reports for management, government, and other agencies.

    • Reduce dependency on consulting and outside assistance with finance and reporting by providing regular and dependable reporting.

    Requirements

    Proven experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance sector.

    10+ years in hands-on finance/accounting positions; 3+ years in leadership level roles

    Bachelors Degree required; CPA preferred

    Previous healthcare industry experience required; managed care experience even better

    Strong MS Excel skills, ability to create spreadsheets from scratch

    Previous supervisory experience managing small teams

    Ability to develop and implement financial strategies in line with the company's goals.

    Strong leadership skills and the capacity to oversee and manage a team.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Demonstrable strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
