    The primary purpose of the Director, Leadership Development position, is to lead their team and enable the organization to build a diverse, global pipeline of future leadership talent and ensure the development of executive leaders at Lowe's. The role will have responsibilities to lead the global strategy to successful delivery, for the advanced, high-potential leadership development curriculum, leadership coaching practices, executive development and strategic leadership programs. The Director, Leadership Development, will partner closely with key partner teams, HRBPs, the HR leadership team, senior business leaders, including executives, to ensure the talent strategies are closely aligned to successful outcomes in support of the overarching business objectives as part of fueling a winning culture at Lowe's. The Director, Leadership Development, will have a deep understanding of the company and HR strategy, and relevant insights on the external leadership development landscape, applying this knowledge to their work. The role will develop practices and strategy, with an innovative lens to position the function for the future, considering both technology and automation. The position will ensure all programs and initiatives, have measures of success to support ROI and achieve intended outcomes. The role will lead and develop a team of associates and is part of the global talent management function, reporting to the Sr. Director, Talent Management.

    What You Will Do

    • Lead their team and enable the organization to build a diverse, global pipeline of future leadership talent and ensure the development of executive leaders at Lowe's.

    • Lead the global strategy to successful delivery, for the advanced, high-potential leadership development curriculum, leadership coaching practices, executive development and strategic talent programs.

    • Develop strategy utilizing key data, including talent planning, succession, assessment, performance and other insights, along with talent and business objectives, to ensure overall effectiveness.

    • Partner closely with HRBPs, the HR leadership team, senior business leaders, including executives, to ensure the talent strategies are closely aligned to successful outcomes in support of the overarching business objectives as part of fueling a winning culture at Lowe's.

    • Collaborate often with the talent management leader and respective functions including org effectiveness, talent assessment, talent planning/succession, performance development and career management, to achieve the best possible outcomes as a united team.

    • Partner closely with executive talent acquisition, associate learning, culture, diversity & inclusion, people analytics, HRIS and corporate communications, as critical partners in support of an integrated talent function.

    • Ensure a deep understanding of the company and HR strategy, and relevant insights on the external leadership development landscape, applying this knowledge to their work and leading their team.

    • Lead the evolution of Lowe's advanced, high potential talent leadership programs to position for the future.

    • Oversee the progression of the internal coaching practice and ensure external coaching is delivering a high degree of value with exceptional service for our executive leaders.

    • Design and implement the executive development strategy to support VP, SVP and executive leaders, including learning curriculum, onboarding, coaching and assessment.

    • Lead the development of strategy to delivery, working in close partnership with culture, diversity & inclusion, along with corporate events to support strategic talent programs including the annual Women's Leadership Summit.

    • Partner with Talent Assessment team to ensure relevant leadership success profiles and competency models are established to support the development of all leadership strategies.

    • Lead the team to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of advanced, high-potential leadership development curriculum, leadership coaching practices, executive development and strategic talent programs.

    • Ensure diversity of thought through all programs to reflect our associate population, customers and communities we serve.

    • Lead the team to collaborate effectively with the Lowe's University team for the delivery of key leadership programs.

    • Develop practices and strategy, with an innovative lens to position the function for the future, considering both technology and automation.

    • Ensure all programs and initiatives, have measures of success to support ROI and achieve intended outcomes.

    • Lead the team to safeguard highly confidential data, establish protocols to ensure business continuity and proactively identify and resolve issues.

    • Hires, coaches, develops and retains a team dedicated to Lowe's Winning Culture, foster inclusion and promote engagement.

    • Responsibilities for team budget which includes program delivery, consulting, vendor spend, partner closely with Finance partners.

    • Manage vendor relationships, including outside consultants in partnership with Enterprise Strategic Sourcing to ensure that Lowe's receives the best ROI.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Business or other related fields

    • 10-12 years of experience Relevant experience with a significant portion focused on leadership development, leadership coaching, executive development, talent assessment, learning, organizational development, with a mix of operational, strategic, and systems thinking experience.

    • 5-7 years of experience consulting with HR Business Partners, senior business leaders and other key partners for the development of leadership or learning initiatives

    • 5-7 years of experience successfully leading multiple priorities and projects successfully

    • 3-5 years of experience working directly with and advising senior leaders including VP, SVP and EVP levels

    • 3-5 years of experience developing a measurement strategy to support program effectiveness and ROI of talent initiatives

    • 2-3 years of experience leading a team of direct reports

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Business or other related fields

    • 8-10 years relevant experience with a significant portion focused on leadership development, leadership coaching, executive development, talent assessment, learning, organizational development, with a mix of operational, strategic, and systems thinking experience

    • Experience working with global teams

    • Experience working in or leading a leadership development function

    • Experience working with a large retailer or company with multi-locations

    • Experience with Fortune 100 leadership development, learning and/or talent management function

    • Experience in different HR functions, including HR Business Partner
