    In this position...

    Director, Compensation will provide guidance and advice regarding various compensation matters and programs, including compensation issues that arise within the business while ensuring compliance with relevant company HR policies, procedures, and programs. The role closely partners with senior HR leadership and operating partners to address complex Total Rewards issues and collaborates with various internal stakeholder groups. The role also designs effective communication and change management strategies for compensation programs and oversees their implementation within the business area of support. The role has expertise in risk management, designing compensation policies and standards in line with business priorities and competitive practice and regulatory compliance. The role has full management authority for staffing, performance, pay decisions, team development, and other personnel actions.

    What you'll do...

    • Oversees administration and implementation of compensation programs that align with the organization's overall business goals, external competitive practice, and compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

    • Leads the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation programs, including salary structures, incentives, performance-based pay, and retention actions, etc.

    • Oversees program evaluation and analysis to monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation programs, while helping to ensure that the policies and programs are cost-effective.

    • Leads associated interactions and education with various internal departments/units as well as external vendors around compensation matters. Manages relationships with external partners, such as compensation consultants. Ongoing, assesses the value of outsourced services.

    • Has a thorough understanding of job evaluation systems including appropriate job classifications, salary levels, and salary adjustments. Provides counsel to compensation partners, talent management, and key business stakeholders.

    • Implementation of Pay Equity analysis and communication/change management with relevant HR and operating customers.

    • Develops change management/communication strategies including presenting to senior internal stakeholders. Collaborates with HR and communication teams to deliver clear and compelling messages to all employees.

    • Stay updated with external compensation trends and with changing regulations and recommend necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

    • Performs talent management responsibilities including staffing, performance, pay decisions, team development, and other personnel actions for the Total Rewards function.

    You'll have...

    • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.

    • Minimum 8 years of work experience with a Master's degree or 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Total Rewards.

    • Experience in a large, complex organization preferred

    • Experience managing compensation programs for both tech and non-tech populations a plus
