    Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, has primary responsibility for continuing to build the capacity of Emory's retired faculty and to encourage their substantial involvement with a wide range of activities at the university and beyond. Works with faculty who are nearing their retirement, often after many years of active service to the university. Assists in the process to position Emory as a national leader among institutions of higher education that offer new models of post-retirement intellectual engagement for their faculty. Designs and manages programs in the Emeritus College (which serves faculty from Emory's nine academic units) and devises strategies for assessing and documenting its impact. Oversees the staff in the Emeritus College and works with the Advisory Board. Performs related responsibilities as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A PhD, JD, or other terminal degree and five years of program coordination/management, higher education teaching or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Strong written and oral communication skills.
