Position Summary

CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Falls Church, VA: Digital Development Engineer to design and develop enterprise software applications and platforms. Duties include: analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements using Safe Agile development process; collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architecture, Engineering, Scrum Master and Product teams to implement new website features on desktop and mobile applications; participate in PI planning, sprint planning, demonstrations and sprint retrospectives; support best practices within and across sprint teams; support critical deployments and application release, and provide cross-functional support as a member of a highly productive agile team; determine feasibility of solutions design and lead engineering of end-to-end applications on modern stack using UI, Microservices, MVC, Cloud technologies; create scalable architecture solutions with MicroServices, high throughput event processing, Messaging, distributed caching, and RESTful APIs; develop core capabilities and deploy advanced application components, and establish best practices for assigned projects and programs; define and build continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), domain-driven development, test-driven development, and production deployment frameworks; troubleshoot complex data, features, service, and platform issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve product and operational issues; support application, infrastructure, integration, data and security components and work with infrastructure teams (on premise and cloud) on digital application requirements regarding configuration, access, tools, services, and compute capacity; define opportunities to improve products and KPIs to measure success; and prepare technical design documentation including conceptual and logical architecture diagrams to align technical direction and document future state architectures for assigned solutions and engineering services. - Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following: Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot and Batch, and Maven; JavaScript, JSON, HTML, XML, and CSS; Angular, jQuery, or Ajax; AWS, Restful Webservices, Swagger, or PostgreSQL; Postman, JIRA, or Apigee gateway; IntelliJ, Eclipse, or VSCode; AppDynamics; and Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles.

Pay Range: $165,173.00/year to $170,000.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
