DIESEL MECHANIC II

Performs general maintenance on tractor trailer to include minor engine repairPerforms trailer maintenance (includes tires, brakes and lift gates)Maintains inventoryDiagnose and perform advanced repairs to all systems including but not limited to engines, fuels systems, electrical, data networks, driveline and transmission to include OEM and approved after-marketActs as coach/trainer for Level I techniciansMust complete ARC training annuallyMay Include:

• Preventative maintenance (i.e. tires and minor engine repair)

• Air conditioning repair/maintenance

• Air brake certified

• performs trailer maintenance (i.e. brakes, tires and lift gate repair)

• Maintain inventory control of parts room

• Completes all required AutoZone and DOT documentation- Diagnose and perform advanced repairs to all systems including but not limited to engines, fuels systems, electrical, data networks, driveline and transmission to include OEM and approved after-market

• Able to use AutoZone provided equipment for programming and updating software systems within equipment

• Able to retrieve and utilize vendor provided diagnostic assistance such as, but not limited to, Detroit PSL

• Identifies areas of opportunity and takes initiative to research and recommend solutions

• Able to partner with external vendors for continued learning on equipment

• Understands department objectives and how it impacts corporate objectives

• Provides leadership, coaching, training to Level I Techs

• Must complete ARC training annually

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years technical experience

Able to diagnose and repair equipment

Able to utilize external resources for repairs as necessary

Compensation Range- $28.50-$31.50
