    Contributions

    As a DevSecOps Architect, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering features to support cloud and application development. We are looking for candidates with 8-10 years experience with cloud platform services and DevSecOps practices such as build/release management, CI/CD practices, and process automation. You will act as both technical visionary and be responsible for hands-on delivery.

    This role will support cybersecurity automation for a large government client, combining the best of cloud, DevOps and Cybersecurity to expedite the security assessment and accreditation process. This role represents the most senior technical leader who can architect solutions and work with individuals in multiple domains to achieve the mission. An ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a software factory/continuous ATO program where they can apply lessons learned for this customer.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Establishing development tools and infrastructure for automation

    • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers

    • Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes

    • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results

    • Perform root cause analysis on complex business processes and technical components.

    • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

    • Identifying technical problems, performing root cause analysis, and developing software updates and 'fixes'

    • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

    • Support enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD

    • Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations

    • Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems

    • Act as an individual contributor and mentor team members

    • Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided

    • Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance

    • BS Degree in an IT field and 10 years related IT experience or MS Degree in an IT Field and 8 years of experience

    • 8 Years of Experience implementing solutions in one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)

    • 8 Years of Experience using Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket

    • 8 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages

    • 8 Years of application DevSecOps Experience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environment

    • 3 Years of Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes

    • 8 Years of Experience implementing infrastructure as code and orchestration

    • 8 Years of Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI

    • 5 Years of Experience integrating deployments with industry standard DevSecOps tooling and orchestration

    • Experience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD Pipelines

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills

    • Experience implementing automation tools, including Pivotal, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible

    Preferred:

    • Certifications:

    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

    • AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional

    • Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert

    • SAFe DevOps Certification

    • CompTIA Security+ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

    • Experience implementing automating cybersecurity tooling into a DevSecOps Pipeline

    • Experience working within a software factory/continuous ATO program such as Kessel Run

    • Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferred

    • Experience with scripting in Concourse, Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
