A Snapshotof Your Day

As an Aerodynamics Engineer within ourCompressor Product Development organization, you will work with colleagues inthe United States and Germany on the design and development of new productaerodynamic components and concepts, and improvements to our existing portfolioof single-shaft and integral gear centrifugal compressor products. As the firstAero point of contact at our Houston location, you will have the responsibilityto support compressor testing, root cause failure investigation, orderexecution, and proposal development for both new equipment and revampopportunities!

• By applying your expert skills inResearch & Development projects to enhance our portfolio and/orimprove available products.

• By supporting the Bid Managementorganization on compressor quotations.

• By supporting Engineering in anyaerodynamic aspects during order execution.

• By supporting root cause analyses ofcompressor performance issues.

• By being the Aerodynamic go-toperson at the Houston site!

What YouBring

• Must have a Master's degree or aPh.D. degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering orequivalent field.

• Familiarity and a strong interest inturbomachinery aerodynamics is required.

• Experience with centrifugalturbomachinery is a plus.

• Experience in using CFD software andtechniques to simulate complex fluid flows, including grid generation,simulation, and post-processing. Knowledge of turbomachinery CFD softwarewill be an advantage.

• Optional: Practical experience inprogramming / scripting using such languages as Fortran, C, MATLAB, andPython.

• Good communication andorganizational skills, capable of working independently with minimalsupervision, and the ability to function on individual and group projects.

• A positive attitude and a good workethic

• Applicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employeeswith current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
