    Schedule: Full Time

    Shift : 40 hours/week; Day shift, Monday - Friday; w/some weekends on occasion when there is an event

    Location: AdventHealth Bolingbrook, will travel to GlenOaks and Hinsdale on occasion

    The role you'll contribute:

    Reporting to the VP Midwest Health Foundation, Great Lakes Region, the Development Director (DD), is responsible for implementation of regional events sponsorships/coordination, major gift, planned giving and capital campaign strategies to achieve annual financial targets for GlenOaks Hospital Foundation (Glendale Heights) and Bolingbrook Hospital (Bolingbrook).

    The value you'll bring to the team:

    • Will carry a portfolio of 100-125 sponsorship and major gift prospects, soliciting the most promising donors and prospects for multi-year gifts and be accountable to metric-based performance goals, reflective of both activity and total dollars raised annually.

    • Will create, manage, implement and evaluate personalized strategies for individuals, corporations, foundations and community organizations to grow the fundraising pipeline in support of both organization's revenue goals.

    • Where appropriate, will execute strategies to grow planned and estate gift commitments.

    • Will identify, cultivate and solicit major gift prospects and maintain moves management strategies, track and document "actions" and manage portfolio solicitor assignments as appropriate.

    • In partnership with the AdventHealth Foundation VP Midwest Health Foundation, the DD will lead the development and implementation of strategies for fundraising and development activities to achieve annual financial targets.

    • Will collaborate with management ministry and Foundation leadership on identification of fundraising priorities.

    • Will hold primary responsibility for recruitment and management GlenOaks Hospital Foundation (Glendale Heights), Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation, Regional Events and volunteer committees.

    • Under the direction of the Vice President, Midwest Health Foundation, the DD will staff and manage the activity and meetings of the GlenOaks Hospital and Bolingbrook Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees.

    • Will work collaboratively with AdventHealth Foundation staff members to advance AdventHealth-wide programs supporting patient, physician and associate giving and will be responsible for daily patient, donor, VIP rounding and implementation of grateful patient program strategies.

    • Will work with ministry leadership and associates to create and promote a culture of philanthropy within the local ministries.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree and/or professional accreditation (such as CFRE) preferred.

    • 5-7 years fundraising experience, including at least 3 years development experience in a large and complex setting, preferably in a faith-based community health care system.

    • High level of proficiency with fundraising database, preferably with Raiser's Edge

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Effective verbal and written communication with individuals of all levels and backgrounds

    • Experience in a culturally diverse environment

    • Intermediate computer skills including use of web-based applications and Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines

    • Customer service orientation

    Experience Preferred:

    • Prior grant writing experience, major gift fundraising experience preferred, existing relationships within the Bolingbrook and GlenOaks service areas.
