Datacenter Engineer (Migration)

Description

We are seeking a Datacenter Engineer w/ a focus on datacenter migrations to join our team based in Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing and maintaining network devices, supporting project activities such as configuring routing protocols, and providing network information. You will also be responsible for supporting the migration of our system from Denver to Richardson DC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning change activities with the consolidation/moves.

• Execute data center infrastructure consolidation/moves.

• Strong technical working knowledge with VMware/Server/Storage including configuration and management.

• Building, operating, and maintaining network devices installed in various locations

• Configuring routing protocols and network ports

• Providing necessary network information and supporting the migration of systems

• Coordinating with other IT departments for any modifications to the network environment

• Designing and operating networks using routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, route leaking, route redistribution, route-maps, etc.

• Providing support for change control after hours or over the weekend

This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity w/ potential to extend.

Requirements

• Coordinate working technical teams with the data center consolidation/moves.

• Execute data center infrastructure consolidation/moves.

• Strong technical working knowledge with VMware/Server/Storage including configuration and management.

• Manage technical aspects involved with infrastructure consolidation/moves.

• Assess Discover and document Infrastructure to Application Dependency .

• Create detailed technical migration plan.

• Manage technical plan track milestones and identify dependencies.

• Assist with planning change activities with the consolidation/moves.
