    Required Skills:

    Data Scientist, Product Responsibilities:

    1. Collect, analyze, and interpret statistical data in order to contribute to the design and development of Meta products.

    2. Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with both our consumer and business products.

    3. Partner with Product and Engineering teams to handle dynamic business and regulatory needs.

    4. Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and launches.

    5. Work on problems of diverse scope including, but not limited to, product influence, developer experience, and data privacy.

    6. Ensure coordination of projects across related workflows to maximize impact and avoid overlaps.

    7. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods for obtaining solutions.

    8. Build pragmatic, scalable, and statistically rigorous solutions to large-scale web, mobile and data infrastructure problems by leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques.

    9. Synthesizes output of models to create business-relevant conclusions and identify the critical implications.

    10. Design studies choosing appropriate methods to test hypothesis for product launch.

    11. Eliminate data bias to make sure data accurately represents the population of interest.

    12. Design success metrics that measure short and long-term progress for both goal and project performance.

    13. Set up metric goal to inform team roadmaps and priorities.

    14. Identify gaps between system components and designs and deliver solutions.

    15. Appropriately apply advanced procedures to solving complex data visualization problems.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Requires 2 years of experience in each of the following:

      1. Performing quantitative analysis including data mining on highly complex data sets
      1. Data querying language: SQL
      1. Scripting language: Python
      1. Statistical or mathematical software including one of the following: R, SAS, or Matlab
      1. Applied statistics or experimentation, such as A/B testing, in an industry setting
      1. Machine learning techniques
      1. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
      1. Relational databases
      1. Large-scale data processing infrastructures using distributed systems
      1. Quantitative analysis techniques, including one of the following: clustering, regression, pattern recognition, or descriptive and inferential statistics.

    Public Compensation:

    $175,457/year to $196,900/year + bonus + equity + benefits
