Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with expertise in Azure Databricks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and optimizing data systems, as well as experience working within the Azure cloud platform and Databricks environment. As a Data Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data architecture strategies, ensure data governance, and drive the evolution of our data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data architecture solutions in Azure, leveraging Azure Databricks.

• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data quality, scalability, and performance.

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure the architecture meets business needs.

• Optimize data storage, processing, and querying for performance in Databricks.

• Ensure data governance best practices are applied, including security, privacy, and compliance.

• Lead the integration of Azure Databricks with other Azure services like Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse, and Power BI.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices to continually improve data infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience (5+ years) in data architecture, with at least 2 years of experience working with Azure Databricks.

• Strong knowledge of Azure services such as Data Lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Azure Synapse.

• Proficient in SQL, Python, or Scala for data pipeline development.

• Experience with designing scalable, performant, and secure data architectures.

• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance frameworks.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect).

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-native services.

• Familiarity with machine learning and AI integration into data solutions.
