    As part of this team, you will play a key role in advancing the VAs strategic IT initiatives by providing consulting services that drive organizational alignment, process improvements, and data-driven insights.

    You will conduct gap analyses on existing processes, identify opportunities for efficiency, and recommend solutions to ensure the alignment of IT goals with VAs mission of delivering world-class services to Veterans. In addition to consulting, you will provide technical expertise by developing dashboards, visualizations, and a SharePoint site that serves as a critical resource for stakeholders across the VA OIT domain. This role requires a unique blend of consulting and technical skills, supporting the VA's ongoing digital transformation and contributing to its strategic initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Consulting and Process Improvement:

    o Conduct gap analyses on existing processes and provide actionable recommendations to align IT initiatives with the VAs strategic goals.

    o Support the development and implementation of new processes to enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

    o Collaborate with stakeholders across the VA OIT domain to identify strategic needs and provide consulting support to meet them.

    Data Analysis and Visualization:

    o Analyze data to uncover trends, generate actionable insights, and provide data-driven recommendations to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.

    o Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and Tableau to provide insights into the current state of projects and performance metrics.

    Technical Support and SharePoint Development:

    o Support the implementation of strategic tools and solutions that streamline processes and enhance the VAs IT capabilities.

    o Assist in the design and development of a SharePoint site to serve the needs of VA stakeholders, ensuring ease of use and functionality.

    Identify and Develop Key Metrics for Performance Evaluation:

    o Design and implement effective data collection methods to evaluate project and organizational performance.

    o Analyze results to uncover trends, provide insights, and drive continuous improvement and decision-making.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, Data Science, or a related field.

    3+ years of experience in business consulting, data analysis, or a related role, with exposure to government contracting preferred.

    Ability to develop visualizations in tools such as Power BI and Excel, and design/implement a SharePoint site.

    Experience developing dashboards and visualizations to communicate project performance and strategic insights.

    Familiarity with conducting gap analyses and recommending solutions for process improvement.

    Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience supporting IT strategy, process improvement, or technology projects in a government setting, particularly with VA OIT or similar federal agencies.

    Understanding of budget formulation processes and federal IT compliance requirements.

    The pay for this position ranges from 67-72/hr and a conversion salary of $130-145k a year depending on years of experience.
