Data Analytics Developer

Job Purpose

• Develop data analytics solutions through data preparation, modeling, analytics and data science, and reporting and visualization.

• Design and implement interactive and dynamic visualizations leveraging Power BI based on corporate requirements.

• Responsible for full BI life cycle design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, production support, and performance tuning.

• Develop dataflows and data models capable of federating data to multiple endpoints.

• Embrace and lead change throughout the business unit users that may be using our self-service data platforms

• Collaborate with business units to understand company needs and architect data driven solutions through prototyping to provide valuable insights at scale.

• Leverage machine learning/artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to improve efficiency and predict project outcomes

• Responsible for returns on time invested as defined by project and business needs

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned; Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others; report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.

Education, Experience, & Ability Requirements

Any combination of requirements which provide knowledge & abilities necessary to perform essential duties & responsible will be considered.

• Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

• Certifications desired in data analytics, data science, data management from accredited institutions (ex. Microsoft)

• 2+ years of work experience with one or a combination of the following tools (Power BI, Power BI Paginated Reports, Analysis Services, Azure Data Warehouse(Synapse), Visual Studio, Informatica, Azure apps, MS Access, MS Excel)

• 2+ years of work experience with at least one or a combination of the following languages (Power Query (M), DAX, SQL, Python, R, VBA, Excel Functions)

• Ability to utilize a relational database system (SAP, Oracle, etc.) involving a business comprehension and application of a Structured Query Language (SQL)

• Exceptional Problem Solving, Analytical, and Logical Reasoning skills as well as conceptual application capability;

• Ability to learn and utilize an object-based programming language (R, Python, etc.)

• Knowledge and familiarity with database architecture - cloud and on premise.

• Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse cube construction, and relational and dimensional database structures

• Enthusiasm to grow skills in Power BI, Power platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc..), data modeling and advanced analytics

• Ability to establish a rapport with internal/external customers using written correspondence, proper phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills.
