We are in search of a Dangerous Cargo Office Support Specialist in Norfolk, Virginia. As a Dangerous Cargo Office Support Specialist, you will be a vital part of our team, managing critical information for our Dangerous Goods representatives and facilitating effective communication between customers, motor carriers, and terminals.

Responsibilities

• Handle an increasing volume of emails and related matters for the Dangerous Cargo Office.

• Perform meticulous management and flagging of emails that carry crucial information intended for our Dangerous Goods representatives.

• Improve the team's problem-solving capacity in dealing with issues arising between customers, motor carriers, and terminals.

• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Maintain a high degree of precision and accuracy in managing email correspondence.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other software tools for efficient calendar management and client relations.

• Leverage previous experience in logistics or dangerous goods handling to enhance team performance

Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, to effectively manage data and perform necessary computations.

• Demonstrable skills in Calendar Management, to efficiently schedule and coordinate meetings, deadlines and other important events.

• Excellent Client Relations skills are required, to maintain positive relationships with clients and ensure their satisfaction.

• Knowledge of Consumer Electronics is necessary, to understand and handle relevant equipment and technology.

• Ability to manage Email Communications effectively, ensuring timely and detail oriented correspondence with clients and team members.

• Capacity to Multi Task is essential, given the fast-paced nature of the role and the need to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

• Prior experience or knowledge in Logistics is needed, to understand and manage the processes involved in the transportation of dangerous cargo.

• Familiarity with Transportation Logistics is crucial, to ensure safe and efficient transport of cargo and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures. TalentMatch®
