    Department Summary

    The Critical Infrastructure Assessments, Analytics, and Resiliency (L541) department provides experience from the cross-section of engineering disciplines and cybersecurity to our government and industry partners. Our team is made up of Operational Technology SMEs, Detection Engineers, Embedded Device Specialists, Mobile Cybersecurity Experts, and more. We improve our nation's cybersecurity posture by developing MITRE technologies (e.g., ATT&CK for ICS, ATT&CK for Mobile, Caldera for OT), assessing critical infrastructure (e.g., Infrastructure Susceptibility Analysis), and collaborating with our government sponsors to perform research, maintain labs, and influence policy.

    Job Description

    We are seeking a cyber technical expert with 10+ years of industry experience or equivalent. This team works closely with our government and critical infrastructure sponsors and their stakeholders to improve the cybersecurity of mission critical operational technology systems. We are looking for someone with both a breadth of cyber experience and a depth of knowledge in one or more areas that can be applied directly to executing the L540's cyber strategy. The strategy implementation lead will ensure the departments' work is focused on high-impact cyber activities that improve cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. The lead will work with SMEs to identify existing cyber capabilities and work efforts, orient project work towards emerging technologies, and execute the L540 cyber strategy. This position entails:

    • Developing a roadmap of current capabilities, emerging technologies, and training opportunities or projects to grow our technical capabilities in the direction of highest impact

    • Working with department leadership (Department Heads, Chief Engineers, Capability Area Leads, and Group Leads) to execute on the division technical strategy

    • Working with the Division Chief Engineer and other Department Chief Engineers to determine the emerging cybersecurity technologies that should be the focus of training and hiring in L540

    • Coordinate on division hiring to meet hiring goals, and ensure necessary cyber skills are available as work opportunities are identified

    • Leverage opportunities for integration and collaboration across work programs and technical disciplines

    • Support department leadership, as needed, department work shaping activities, including engagement planning, staffing needs, and future growth

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelors in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar technical field.

    • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

    • Strong technical leader in cybersecurity, and an interest in staying technically informed

    • Ability to develop trusted relationships with team members and project leads

    • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to get a Top Secret clearance.

    • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance

    • Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or similar technical discipline.
