    Marcus by Goldman Sachs is looking for a data-focused, detail-oriented, scrappy, and entrepreneurial product manager to build the future of Marcus as a leader in the Platform Product Management team. As a product leader for this initiative, you will work with a growing product and engineering team focused on building scalable foundational services that power Marcus’s lines of business and operations. You will be responsible for critical parts of the Marcus CWMs Platform’s long-term growth strategy. Our mission to keep the customer at the center of everything we do; this is an influential and impactful role that solves to empower people financially. The ideal candidate is resourceful and detail-oriented with a penchant for moving fast on agile teams, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring digital customer products to market. 

    As a Platform Product Lead, you will engage with a wide range of key stakeholders across business, product, engineering and operations to execute on a comprehensive Marcus product roadmap. You will have growing ownership while coaching a team to continually identify ways to hone the product development process, shipping new capabilities, promoting reusability/scalability, and seamless systems integration. You will join a team of creative and driven product managers to help build the foundation of the Marcus Platform. You are comfortable driving product specifications, partnering closely with engineering on refining requirements, managing project execution, and focusing on data quality for core services that power our businesses.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the User & Identity Management and the Conversational AI-focused Consumer Operations product teams

    • Form strong partnerships with leaders in technology, business, legal, and compliance to align on a product vision and drive smooth execution

    • Innovate and develop product initiatives using first principles

    • Lead teams to define and iterate Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that align executive KPIs and strategic priorities

    • Design customer-driven product capabilities and systems for end-to-end, multi-product experiences with APIs and contract-first focus

    • Create and track success metrics to measure the effectiveness of product features and quantify business impact

    • Build consensus with a broad team of internal cross-functional and external stakeholders, ensuring all viewpoints are accounted for and solutions meet their strategic goals

    • Collaborate with other internal and external product leaders and diverse cross-functional teams to ensure cohesiveness of the overall end-to-end experiences

    • Lead ideation activities, product feasibility assessments, business case preparation, and overall product definition (feature lists and prioritization)

    • Scalability and reusability ambassador

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of technical product management experience with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment

    • Management of product management individual contributors with experience coaching/nurturing them to be phenomenal product owners

    • High emotional intelligence with an innate ability to recognize and understand the emotions and needs of others

    • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management of executives (business and technology)

    • Self-motivated and proactive product leader who takes ownership of and accountability for initiatives

    • Strong organizational skills, such as effectively managing evolving priorities and strict deadlines

    • Preference to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment with heavy emphasis on teamwork and cultivating positive relationships

    • Strong empathy for your team, partners, and the customer

    • Exceptional follow-through, attention to detail, and integrity

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 7-10 years of hands-on technical product management or 5+ years of large scale technical project management with 2+ years of software development

    • Experience with consumer products/services, with emphasis on financial products requiring compliance review

    • Experience in applied machine learning

    • Proficient in major product management applications (i.e. Jira, Confluence) and analytical tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau data visualizations) 

    • Experience building and using technical products and tools (e.g. APIs, Postman)

    • Prior experience in the financial (or related) industry
