    You'll be fairly rewarded for your contributions, with pay ranging from $19.50 to $20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience and regular wage increases.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer disputes and use operational systems proficiently.

    • Conduct customer interviews and accurately record information in the computer system.

    • Communicate with customers via phone and in person to process orders for installation, service changes, or discontinuations.

    • Complete contract forms, determine service charges, collect deposits, update address records, and issue discontinuation orders.

    • Demonstrate proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

    • Provide services to customers in a manner that fosters positive relationships.

    • Engage with customers and Waste Connections staff to address service requirements and resolve issues or complaints.

    • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with high call volumes, actively soliciting new or additional service sales.

    • Assist with reception desk duties when needed.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

    • Our Customer Service Representatives operate in a comfortable office setting with cleanliness, ventilation, and ample lighting. Each representative typically has their own workstation or cubicle, furnished with a telephone, headset, and computer.

    • While the customer service call areas may be noisy, the role demands efficiency and attentiveness, often with minimal breaks between calls, to ensure top-notch service. Some calls undergo evaluation to maintain quality standards. Additionally, the nature of the job involves extended periods of sitting, typing, and computer use.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Proficiency in reading, writing, comprehension, and communication in English is essential. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, it's not mandatory.

    • Candidates should possess at least 2 years of prior experience in customer service roles.

    • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and Email is advantageous, and proficiency in typing and 10-key skills is required.

    • Strong organizational and communication skills are a must.

    • Candidates should demonstrate problem-solving abilities, including data gathering, information compilation, and report preparation.
