Job Description

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be a part of a professional, customer-oriented team in the Service department located in Billerica.

Customer Service Representative must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, in a conversational manner. Being able to remain calm, cool and collected in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is a must. Position will work closely with other team members, customers, technicians, management as well as other departments within Teledyne FLIR.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming internal and external customer inquiries via both email and phone.

• Process customer requests and information timely and efficiently to provide Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests for services and repair of products

• Work closely with technicians and peers

• Work with key accounts

• Prepare repair estimates while paying attention to customer, payment and contractual terms

• Processing customers payments via purchase orders, government contracts and credit cards

• Prepare shipping documents

• Responsible for gathering and entering customer information for import and export requests for international returns per Global Trade Compliant requirements.

• Vet and screen customers, systems and transactions

• Ensure to follow any applicable ITAR and Commerce regulations

• Ability to multi-task and quickly navigate multiple systems and screens

• Help reduce the backlog and turn around times

• Perform additional related duties as required

Job Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic, analytical, creative, independent yet also a team player

• Prioritize and execute multiple tasks

• Flexible and adaptable to change

• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal

• Great organization and time management skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Oracle and experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP

• Previous experience with Customer Service preferred but not required

• A minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required
