Title: Custodian I - Part-Time 3.75 hours a day

Placement (location): White Mountain Middle School

Supervisor: Building Services Supervisor

Contract Days: 238 days* Pro-rated based on start date

Salary Range: $16.96/hour

Position Closing Date: Open until filled, screening to begin immediately

This is a part-time, year-round position maintaining facilities. The Custodian job goal is to provide the students and staff with a clean, attractive and safe environment in which to learn and teach. To accomplish this task, the Custodian performs routine custodial, repair and cleaning work. General custodial and deep cleaning of bathrooms, classrooms, and offices. Duties will also include painting, moving a variety of things, working with the Plant Engineer on a variety of job duties, and tear down and set up for activities. (See attached Job Description for further description, expectations and physical requirements.)

The ideal applicant will demonstrate the qualities of being reliable, ability to follow instructions, self motivated and a self starter while taking pride in their work. They will know how to build positive relationships with students and staff. Must be able to work in a team as well as on their own. In addition, the ideal applicant will demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and grow.
