    $18.00 - $18.75/hour (depending on experience).


    Pay Grade: 21
    Schedule: 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday (hours tbd); 9 month calendar; Benefits Offered, Arizona State Retirement System.

    Desired Start Date: January 6, 2025

    Summary of Function

    Support Culinary Arts instructors and all program courses; utilize purchase orders, P-card, or other approved methods to purchase groceries and other program materials; Keep track of program financial transactions and accounts; assist Culinary Arts teachers with daily tasks and other assigned duties.

    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent certification required
    • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers and school administration
    • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks
    • Computer experience is necessary - word processing, spreadsheets, financial accounting
    • Adequate transportation for shopping and transporting loads of purchased program supplies (e.g. groceries) - including in inclement weather
    • Willingness to become CCPHD food handler certified
    Duties, Responsibilities, Typical Tasks
    • Purchase groceries and class supplies from multiple vendors for culinary courses utilizing Purchase Orders, a P-card, or other approved method(s). Keep an accurate accounting of balances remaining in each PO and program account. Maintain communications with campus business officer and CCD department secretary / program clerk in order to request funding as necessary
    • Assist teacher with student organization (CTSOs) activities, as well as lunch and special event sales, fund-raising events, and projects
    • Assist with classroom and lab readiness and maintenance, as well as the preparation of instructional materials
    • Assist with demonstrations in classrooms and labs
    • Assist with obtaining vendor quotes and procurement of equipment and supplies
    • Work with students individually and in small groups, and monitor student activities
    • Provide additional support for special population students
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Working conditions

    Majority indoor environment. Manages all job duties with the mobility, agility, dexterity, and focused observation it takes to meet standards of performance. Normal classroom and commercial kitchen conditions and noise levels. Must be able to handle stressful situations calmly and with consideration of other persons.

    Physical requirements

    Work involves the performance of duties where moderate physical exertion and movement is required to perform aspects of the job. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, push, or pull objects and materials. Assistance is available as required to perform physically demanding tasks. Work requires moving from one location to another, reaching, bending, stooping, turning, holding and grasping objects. Verbal communication ability required.

    Equipment, Aids, Tools and Materials

    Uses office equipment which includes but is not limited to: computers, video projectors, white boards, and office or instructional equipment. FUSD recognizes the ever-changing development of technology but expects all staff to keep abreast of changing technology opportunities and use tools and devices provided to them. Utilize vehicle transportation such as a car or van - may be district vehicles if properly white fleet trained.
