Crop Inputs Retail Summer Internship:
As an intern you will gain exposure in retail sales, agronomy, operations and grain. This internship is an excellent point of entry for development into other career opportunities.
Agronomy - Learn to identify weeds, crop diseases, stage growth, plant populations, insect problems, nutrient deficiencies, and soil problems. Interns will work with location Agronomy and Sales team to plan and execute customer events. Assistance with setting up customer demonstration trials will also be a responsibility. An Agronomist will be working with you to provide training as needed and meet weekly with other location team members to discuss issues and findings.
Operations/Grain - Learn about the operations of a grain elevator, this will include loading and unloading rail cars, moving grain, maintenance, and general day to day duties.
**Retail Sales ** - Assist with crop input retail activities such as receiving and shipping crop input merchandise, become familiar with fertilizers and pesticide product and services we provide our customers. Interns will be trained on the various chemicals and fertilizers we sell to provide recommendations and solutions to meet our customers needs.
A vehicle, cell phone and other required technology will be provided as required.

Internship Details:
Internships are paid and are at least 16 weeks in duration.
Interns are paid hourly for time worked.
Housing assistance and relocation reimbursement is offered to those who qualify (based on mileage).
Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work.
Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered an internship, co-op or full-time position to return the following year.

Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Diploma from an accredited program graduating between December 2025 and August 2027
Able to complete a 16-week internship May - August 2025
Possess a valid Canadian driver's licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employment
Ability to work in environmental conditions where there is a potential exposure to sun, wind, rain, pollen, dust, and insects
Ability to work with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds.
Excellent communication and leadership skills and comfortable working independently
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Plant Science or Soils Science
Previous agriculture experience, sales experience and/or scouting experience
Geographically flexible and willing to relocate
