    SUMMARY:

    The Creative Design Specialist supports client service efforts through the design of high-quality audio/visual products and client communications including, but not limited to, slideshows, short videos, articles, and handouts, utilizing a variety of methods and software, for a primary audience of K-12 public school employees. The Creative Design Specialist will primarily support, work closely with, and take directions from the safety services team, in a mission to help clients reduce preventable accidents, injuries, and consequent financial losses.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Responsible for leadership of safety content production, including coordinating and editing the work of others, printing, uploading to websites, and mass communications, as well as production of safety awareness educational presentations (with trainer guides) intended for live delivery, including slide shows, handouts, and test materials
    • Production of animated narrated short videos promoting safety awareness and accident avoidance, including announcements and website uploads; production of narrated self-running slideshows; production of safety articles, newsletters, safety fact sheets, FAQ's, teaching curriculum, and scripts written for a range of audience interests and educational levels
    • Primarily support, closely collaborate with, and take directions from the safety services team, relying on their provided subject matter expertise to develop effective content
    • Coordination of selected award/prize selections and other program-based recognition awards, effectively teaming with vendors to fill orders
    • Communicate by phone and email with clients to support the delivery of materials and coordinate recognition campaigns
    • Manage the review and evaluation process for determining Regional and Statewide Awards (Texas and Louisiana programs); ensure presentations are scheduled and completed
    • Perform all actions relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions
    • Participate in seminars and other training to maintain required licenses and for knowledge and skill development
    Current Programs/Details:

    Safety Short Video Production

    Responsible for taking each video production from a narrative story all the way to finished video production (averaging one SSV per month/9-10 per year) including, but not limited to, storyboarding
    • developing all visual aspects of the video; storyboarding the scenes based on the narrative and the overall message in the production sheet provided;
    script writing
    • fashions a script (for the narrator) that will match the way sections of the provided narrative;
    video production
    • create video from the storyboard, procuring photo, graphic, and video assets to match the storyboarded scenes;
    distribution
    • after final editing and review, upload the video to our distribution site, and prepare distribution emails
    Loss Prevention Training Programs
    • Responsible for the creation of nine (minimal) annual original client onsite safety awareness programs used by LPSG, developing all visual and sequential aspects of the onsite programs and including, but not limited to, creation of PowerPoint slideshows; procuring photo, video, and graphic assets and set all text; ensure carefully timed animations and transitions match narration; provide for review and make additional edits, as needed
    Constant Contact Communications
    • Solely responsible for creating and distributing LPSG communications through Constant Contact including, but not limited to, writing text, formatting the look of the email, procuring any photo or graphic assets, QR codes, and other supporting attachments including, but not limited to, monthly SSV's, Safe Employee Recognition Campaign, Bus Driver of the Year Campaign and Tropical Weather Alerts - as needed
    Safe Employee Recognition Program
    • Serve as the Project Leader for the SERC program including, but not limited to, planning, adherence to budgets, researching client employee estimates; working closely with vendor, Impression Edge. to order and ship Part 1 and 2 awards (and SERC Contact thank you gifts), supplying all info needed by vendor, including shipping fulfillment addresses and package inserts; obtain SERC contact designations from Trustees; create, distribute, and manage all communications for Member SERC Contact (i.e., designated site person); develop launch, reminder, and award announcement communications; manage CC bounces to ensure communications are going through; incorporate the use of Survey Monkey; acknowledge and process Member submissions
    Bus Driver of the Year Program
    • Serve as the Project Leader for the BDOTY program including, but not limited to, planning, adherence to budgets, researching client employee estimates; reviewing and making any needed edits to forms; working with the INSURICA Cypress office on graphics, overall look, and the presentation of (the two) Statewide awards; work closely with vendor, Impression Edge, to order and ship awards, supplying all info needed by vendor, including shipping fulfillment addresses and package inserts; create, distribute, and manage communications for Member BDOTY contacts; develop launch (including Quick Start Guide), reminder, and award announcement communications; communicate with brokers on shipping preferences for each of the Members receiving awards

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • Strong technical writing, editing, and distribution (website and email) skills
    • Strong Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint (especially), Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint, as well as basic photo editing skills
    • Strong Adobe Acrobat creative design software (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) skills
    • Ability to effectively utilize TechSmith Camtasia (or similar video production software), Constant Contact, and Survey Monkey programs
    • Ability to organize a message and tell a story so that it flows logically, with imaginative timing and animation of text, images, video, and audio
    • Ability to research and create images, audio, and video content that effectively supports the message
    • Ability to work within a fast-paced, changing priority environment, effectively manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
    • Organized and self-motivated, with the initiative to prioritize and be self-directed
    • Regular and punctual attendance is required
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both colleagues and managers, across all levels

    • Ability to successfully adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as maintain strict confidentiality
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 2-4 Years of content production and technical writing and/or editing experience preferred; candidates will be asked to provide examples of self-created content production
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or content production-related area, preferred
    • Certifications in PowerPoint, graphic design,n or other presentation media preferred
    • Previous K-12 teaching/public speaking/workplace safety/website design experience a plus
    • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus
