Job Description
SUMMARY
Assists in day to day accounting within the organization including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and monthly financial close. Responsible for maintaining integrity of standard costs related to inventory, labor and overhead. Operates with a continuous improvement mindset.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Cost Accounting
Maintain production reports and analysis to partner with operations to drive cost and process improvements:
Gross margin analysis and reporting
Calculate and apply labor and overhead standards and monitor variances
Product costing and maintenance
Reserve analysis for aging inventory
Raw material standards analysis and usage, including PPV analysis.
Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare monthly reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis Maintain and create monthly cost of material forecast
Research and help Controller with strategies to minimize materials, labor, scrap and overhead variances.
Assist in preparation of monthly cost forecast and analyze actual results versus previous forecasts. Objective is to minimize forecast versus actual variances and continuously improve the forecasting process.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities
Partner with purchasing organization to help drive inventory reductions through recurring inventory reporting and excessive and obsolete material analysis.
Roll up standard costs on an as needed basis to support revision rolls/new parts and re-cost all parts monthly.
Review monthly manufacturing cost activity during monthly close. Journalize adjustments as required.
Inventory and asset monitoring - cycle count accuracy and fixed asset inventories
General Accounting and Financial Reporting
Assist in the monthly close by accurately entering journal entries, summarizing results, and completing balance sheet reconciliations
Provide Corporate Finance the required monthly and quarterly reports
Ownership and accountability ensuring appropriate financial controls are maintained and results are achieved, supporting internal and external audit requests
Efficiency, overtime, and labor hour reporting
Other
Compile cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
Perform other related duties as required to meet the goals and objectives of the company and Finance Department
Regular and predictable onsite attendance
Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.
Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree, preferred degree in accounting
5+ years of experience as an Accountant

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
