This position will partner with all B&K team members to work hard to put programs in place so that everyone is able to go home at the end of the day in the same condition as they arrived in the morning.

    What you'll do:

    • Provide input to team and oversight to achieve ZERO injuries and compliance with all safety processes

    • Develop safety awareness and training communications to expand field safety engagement

    • Experience developing and delivering training presentations

    • Consult with construction management on a routine basis to facilitate and support safety needs to achieve goals and continuing to foster a safety culture

    • Develop and deliver training presentations

    • Conduct basic root cause analysis

    • Facilitate compliance programs and initiatives

    • Identify and eliminate potential workplace hazards

    • Assists the safety department in the update of site safety manuals and corporate safety documentation

    • Comfortable conducting and documenting safety observations

    • Actively lead and participate in toolbox meetings, safety meetings, and other training sessions

    • Lead corporate safety committee meetings, safety reporting, and safety strategy

    • Corporate safety strategy and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Safety Director

    Supervisory / Budgetary / External Communication Responsibility

    • This is an individual contributing role where you will be responsible for collaborating with both internal and external contacts.

    What you'll need (minimum qualifications)

    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

    • Consistent dependability and availability.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment

    • Ability to organize and curate documents related to work orders and personnel

    • Aptitude to learn new systems.

    • Excellent ability in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, Word, etc.

    • You're highly self-motivated, you're scrappy, and you have a stellar work ethic.

    • Ability to prepare a SWOT Analysis for projects and future projects.

    Prior work experience and educational requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; or 7 + years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • 3+ years of experience in the construction or relevant experience.

    • Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and other safety concepts

    • OSHA 500 and 501 certifications

    • Strong working knowledge of PIMS safety platform is preferred

    • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E standard

    • A CHST, CSP, ASP preferred

    • Previous experience in a specific safety role

    • Experience developing and delivering training presentations

    • Experienced in completing or working with JSAs or JHAs

    • The ability to travel up to 10%
