Direct and manage a staff of junior to highly experienced reconcilers, analysts and supervisors in performance of a variety of reconcilement and accounting support services and reporting activities. Assist Corporate Reconciliations Group Manager in development, design and implementation of corporate reconcilement processes. Provide training and guidance to subordinates with respect to understanding, reporting and aging of outstanding items.

Must be willing to sit in-office 4 days a week (1 day remote)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Direct, manage and lead a staff of junior to highly experienced reconcilers, analysts and or supervisors, including hiring, scheduling, preparing performance evaluations and make salary recommendations.
Plan for orderly workflow and growth.
Collaborate with Reconciliation Group Manager and line of business (LOB) managers on the design and development of more complex reconcilement and accounting workflows.
Design, implement and document reconcilement and monitoring process workflows and controls for assigned accounts and subsidiary accounting system(s).
Ensure that responses to auditor/examiner requests for information are complete and accurate (responses to External and Regulatory requests are to be made in collaboration with Accounting Policy).
Ensure prompt remediation of any issues identified.
Ensure complete and accurate data capture, categorization and summary to facilitate required reporting for ongoing operations and merged/acquired entities by working with assigned LOB operations, administration, data center and/or IT support.
Work with assigned system support team to maintain process flow documentation for assigned systems and area of responsibility.
Ensure that required schedules and reports for assigned area of responsibility are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
Monitor internal alerts and consult with LOB partners for changes to requirements and deadlines.
Coordinate special projects and support the merger/conversion reconcilement process.
Ensure effective use of corporate automated reconcilement systems: review training materials, coordinate new user training; submit new account set-up requests, oversee conversion testing of manual reconcilements to automated systems, develop and submit progress and trend reports to Corporate Reconciliations Group Manager.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, or equivalent education and related training.
Five years of supervisory experience.
Eight years of financial services experience, including bank operations experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively to meet critical deadlines under difficult time constraints.
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products, with an emphasis on spreadsheet, presentation, word processing and database software.
Knowledge of automated reconcilement systems.
Understanding data acquisition, translation, formatting and storage protocols.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to define problems.
Demonstrated leadership ability and skills.
Ability to work independently and meet communicated deadlines.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional designation as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Master's degree in Accounting or Business, or equivalent education and related training.
Specific training and experience in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Specific training and experience with financial processing and balance sheet reconcilement systems.
