Description

We are in search of a skilled, fully remote, Copy Editor to join a team on a part time basis for a mortgage/financial company. This role revolves around proofreading, editing & fact-checking content related to the government loan process, and the successful candidate will be providing support to several channel marketing heads.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and edit content related to loan process to ensure clarity and accuracy

• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with campaign goals and company standards

• Fact-check all content for accuracy and consistency

• Use industry knowledge to ensure content does not detract from the intended message

• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures while carrying out tasks

• Use strong communication skills to resolve any issues or discrepancies in the content

• Utilize the necessary skills to adapt to varying campaign cycles

• Continually improve and update industry knowledge to maintain expertise in the field

Requirements

• Proven experience in copy editing & fact-checking or related roles within the mortgage or financial industry

• Strong command of financial terminology and concepts

• Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling

• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and jargon

• Proficiency in using editing software and tools

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies

• Ability to adhere to organizational guidelines and procedures
