RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under direction of manager, plans, coordinates, and implements projects, programs and events related to community relations and corporate communications.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the media and public.
Develops, coordinates, and implements communication strategies and procedures as directed.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Seeing, hearing, speaking, finger dexterity.
Frequent: sitting.
Occasional: walking, standing, stooping/bending, reaching at and below shoulder level.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to media calls as needed.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
B. EXPERIENCE:
In addition to the educational requirement, minimum two (2) years of experience in public relations, preferably in the health care industry.
Prior experience dealing with the news media required.
