    Duties include prepping and preparing food, drinks and desserts, setting up meal trays, serving meals in the dining room, washing dishes and general cleaning. Experience preferred but not required. We are willing to train someone with a good work ethic and desire to learn. Must love to work with residents in an adult foster care facility!

    This position requires a flexible schedule and the desire to learn and excel at various dietary positions. Must be willing to work weekends (typically every other weekend at minimum) and some Holidays. Please reply with a resume detailing your background and experience.

    Must be able to pass a Criminal Background check. Competitive wages, benefits, and must have reliable transportation and good attendance.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Prepare and serve meals to all residents and employees

    • Follow pre-planned menu to provide nutritious meals that meet each residents' caloric needs

    • Follows special diet plans to ensure safety for residents

    • Follows all safety and food handling procedures and regulations

    • Complete all tasks in a timely manner

    • Provide nutritional supplements to participants as recommended by the registered dietitian.

    • Perform daily and weekly cleaning of kitchen areas, including refrigerators, freezers, and serving surfaces.

    • Assist with breakfast and lunch service, setting up beverage carts and distributing drinks.

    • Track and manage kitchen inventory, placing weekly orders for food and supplies.

    • Conduct weekly inventory of nutritional supplements and ensure stock orders are placed as needed.

    • Receive and store food and supplies, following the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

    • Ensure all food is properly labeled and stored in accordance with health and safety standards.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • High School Diploma/GED

    • Safe Serve Certification

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • A minimum of one year of experience working with the elderly, CMH or TBI residents, is preferred.

    Additional Notes

    • Strong organizational and communication skills.

    • Must demonstrate competency in performing specific job functions, including dietary and nutritional support.

    • Ability to work independently and make decisions when necessary.

    • Must work well in a team environment and have the ability to manage relationships with participants, families, and colleagues.

    • Basic computer skills are preferred.

    • Ability to move throughout the workday and lift up to 50 pounds.

    • Ability to perform cleaning tasks, assist with evacuations, and handle potentially infectious materials.

    • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and car insurance.

    • Perform additional duties as required.
