POSITION: CONTROLLER (NON-PROFIT)
LOCATION: WEST HARTFORD, CT (HYBRID - 3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote)

Our Valued Client, a thriving Non-Profit organization west of Hartford, is in search of a Controller to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, managing the annual budget process, ensuring audit compliance and grant reporting requirements. This position is a key part of our Client's leadership team, reporting into the CFO and offering an exciting opportunity for the right individual.
Oversee and manage all accounting functions within the organization
Utilize accounting software systems to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations
Review Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as prepared by staff
Conduct regular auditing to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
Partner with operations' leaders to manage and oversee budget processes within the organization
Prepare monthly financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement
Oversee grant accounting to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
Hire, manage and develop accounting and finance staff

Requirements
The candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of related experience including experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller.
Non-Profit Industry experience is required.
The candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of various Accounting Software Systems.
The candidate must be well-versed in handling all Accounting Functions.
Previous experience in public accounting is desirable.
The candidate must be proficient in Budget Processes.
Experience in Grant Accounting is necessary for this role.
