Controller

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Controller. This role is within the accounting operations sector and will involve managing all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including financial reporting, and budget preparation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processing credit applications from customers

• Maintaining detailed and precise records of customer credit

• Managing the monthly closing process of the company's accounting operations

• Supervising employees carrying out financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting tasks

• Preparing financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and annual budgets as required

• Implementing and monitoring internal controls and policies in line with U.S. GAAP and other statutory requirements

• Managing U.S. statutory tax requirements and preparing reports for outsourced tax return services

• Authorizing disbursement requests in accordance with company policies and procedures

• Overseeing the protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments

• Keeping up-to-date with organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards

• Coordinating audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements

• Balancing sheet accounts and carrying out other necessary reconciliations.

Requirements - Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Skilled in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Ability to perform Financial Reporting

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting

• Understanding of US GAAP

• Proficiency in QuickBooks

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
