    responsibilities

    1. Lead Accounting Operations:

    2. Manage the accounting team (currently two direct reports) to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in financial processes.

    3. Establish scalable workflows to support growth and future acquisitions.

    4. Financial Reporting & Systems Implementation:

    5. Develop and implement improved financial reporting systems to deliver accurate and timely insights into company performance.

    6. Streamline accounting processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

    7. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Strategy:

    8. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning and performance monitoring.

    9. Partner with executive leadership to develop financial strategies that align with growth objectives.

    10. Process & Operational Improvement:

    11. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.

    12. Play a critical role in integrating financial processes for acquisitions as part of the company's growth strategy.

    13. Executive Partnership:

    14. Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to the executive team, including the CEO and COO.

    15. Support high-level decision-making by ensuring financial data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with business goals.

    qualifications

    • Experience: 5-7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally in private equity-backed companies, distribution, or related industries.

    • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), internal controls, and financial reporting. Experience with accounting software systems like QuickBooks or NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.

    • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop small teams in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

    • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Comfortable taking initiative, building processes from scratch, and scaling systems to meet growing business demands.

    • Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic settings with evolving responsibilities and priorities.

    • Growth-Oriented: Demonstrated ambition to grow into a broader leadership role, such as CFO, as the company expands.
