  • Description:

    You will be the Contracts Manager for the Precision Fires Line of Business at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control. Our team is responsible for supporting the GMLRS / ER-GMLRS Transition to Production Munitions team and driving contract management functions across the organization.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for leading cradle-to-grave contract operations, building effective relationships with internal and external customers, and providing business advice and guidance to various functions to drive business goals and objectives.

    Your responsibilities will include

    -Performing contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services

    -Building effective relations with internal and external customers to influence favorable outcomes

    -Providing business advice and guidance to various functions, including program management, finance, and engineering

    -Serving as an authorized representative for the Company, interfacing with Customer buying representatives

    -Coordinating solutions to contractual issues and customer concerns

    -Ensuring contractual compliance with laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements

    -Leading and supporting audits, as well as training and reporting contract practices

    MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

    Basic Qualifications:

    - Contract life cycle experience including proposals, negotiations, administration, and closeout.

    - Exceptional and effective communication skills; both written and verbal.

    - Microsoft Office computer experience is required.

    - Ability to obtain a security clearance.

    - Possess basic working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).

    Desired Skills:

    - Cost Type, Fixed Price, and Incentive Fee

    Contracting Type knowledge

    - Extensive negotiation experience and knowledge of Precision Fires Munitions portfolio

    - FMS Contracting Experience

    - Ability to engage in routine and unique problems / issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts

    - Proven ability to develop internal and external relationships

    - Ability to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, financing payments, etc.

    - Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

    - Experience working autonomously with general direction

    - Experience handling multiple, widely-varied

    assignments

    - Experience problem solving, including identifying issues and developing solutions

    - Detail oriented and self-starter and teamwork oriented

    - Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an expert, authority in discipline.

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level: Secret

    Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
