    Our Nuclear Projects and Consulting group is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering, and construction.

    The Construction Supervisor reports to either the Contracts Project Manager (CoPM) or Lead Construction Supervisor, as applies, and is responsible for supporting the Contract Project Managr and Lead Construction Supervisor through daily oversight of the subcontractor(s) work activities.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Provide daily oversight of subcontractor(s). The Construction Supervisor is the first point-of-contact for subcontractor field supervision

    • Assist, at the direction of the Contracts Project Manager and Lead Construction Supervisor, in validating subcontractor progress and subcontractor pay applications

    • Assists Contracts Project Manager and Lead Contract Supervisor with coordinating daily subcontractor work schedules and attends daily pre-shift briefings or "Plan of the Day" meetings. Identifies and assists in resolving work issues between other project subcontractors

    • Review daily, or as required, Subcontractor's hazard analysis for planned work activities

    • Read and understand the subcontract(s) technical documents, including specifications, drawings and supplemental material and monitor the subcontractor for conformance to those requirements

    • Familiarize and implement the Project Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements as well as the Project Quality Assurance Plan (PQAP)

    • Document subcontractor's daily activities including work progress, issues impacting safety, quality or schedule, manpower and required project coordination

    • Interface with client Subcontractor Technical Representatives (STR's)

    • Interface and support Construction Quality Inspectors (CQI's), Resident Engineers (RE's) and HSE personnel

    • Implementation of subcontractor work execution documents including, hot work permits, LOTO's, and confined space entry authorizations

    Here's what you'll need :

    • 1-5 years of industrial construction site experience as a superintendent or field engineer (or) Bachelor's degree in Construction or Engineering and construction experience to include concrete and concrete testing

    • Working knowledge of Primera (P6) and ability to read P6 schedules

    • Position requires current OSHA 10 (within last 3 years) or the ability to obtain

    • Must be able to work night shift

    • USA citizenship is required, no dual citizenship (to comply with government customer requirements and/or applicable government regulations)

    Preferences

    • Experience with Industrial construction

    • Knowledge of Epoxy Coating Systems

    • Knowledge of ACI standards

    • Knowledge of AISC standards

    Essential Functions:

    Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.     The work location for this position is approximately 55 miles from Idaho Falls
