    Job Description

    We are seeking a Construction Project Manager with extensive knowledge of project management and accounting applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with owner contract negotiations, a proven track record of holding subcontractors and project teams accountable, and the ability to resolve quality and construction issues. This role requires knowledge of permitting processes and the ability to procure permits based on project schedules. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage project financials and possess excellent interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage overall construction and closeout phases of projects.

    • Develop and implement the overall construction schedule with the entire project team.

    • Review cost reports against budget and suggest appropriate solutions to resolve variances.

    • Accountable for monthly project team meeting (PTM) reporting to management.

    • Schedule and conduct project meetings and oversee the project closeout process.

    • Facilitate schedule creation, maintenance, and compliance.

    • Collaborate with the on-site construction team to ensure thorough plan and specification reviews.

    • Complete the procurement and project buyout process.

    • Maintain key customer relationships and provide insights to the RFP process.

    • Participate actively in community and industry events to build professional networks.

    • Identify and control project risks in coordination with the project team.

    • Manage projects to achieve established margin goals.

    • Review and understand the implications of all contracts and contract documents, reporting exposures to management.

    • Enforce and support project safety policies and practices.

    • Develop and implement, with support from the project team, quality assurance/quality control policies and practices.

    • Oversee the operations side of the preconstruction process under the leadership of the preconstruction team.

    Essential Skills

    • Knowledge of project management and accounting applications.

    • Experience with owner contract negotiations.

    • Proven track record of holding subcontractors and project teams accountable.

    • Ability to identify and resolve quality and construction issues.

    • Knowledge of permitting processes and ability to procure timely permits.

    • Ability to manage project financials.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative teamwork.

    • Project management, project coordination, and commercial construction experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of commercial construction experience.

    • Self-driven individual who takes ownership of multiple projects and scopes.

    • Strong relationships and management skills to drive project budgets and schedules.

    • Value continuous development, compliance, safety, and quality assurance.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Mankato, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $100000.00

    This is a fully onsite position in Mankato,MN.
