Job Title: Concrete Technician

Job Description

As a Concrete Technician, you will be involved in the wet casting of custom precast structures and walls. You will help with setup, forming, and finishing. Forms will be crafted from blueprints that are customized from client specifications. Cages will be placed into the forms, followed by concrete pouring. Measurement and formwork must match the precise requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup, forming, and finishing of precast structures and walls.

• Craft forms from blueprints according to client specifications.

• Place cages into forms and pour concrete.

• Ensure measurements and formwork meet required specifications.

• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.

• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

• Supervise and lead team members when required.

• Operate cranes and other heavy equipment as needed.

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in carpentry, forming, framing, concrete, or similar fields.

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills.

• Experience in concrete finishing.

• Familiarity with structural concrete.

• Crane operation experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working at heights.

• Heavy equipment operation skills.

• Knowledge of concrete batching processes.

Work Environment

Shifts include days and afternoons, typically starting at 7am, 11am, or 4pm. Expect 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, with occasional half days on Friday. During busy periods, you may work up to five 10-hour shifts per week. The work environment can be dusty and dirty due to concrete production. Pay starts $30-35/hr with LOTS of room to grow.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00
