Leading Biotech Research company is searching for a Computer System Specialist to join their team to support IT inquiries and networking support.

Terms: 6 month contract with potential for conversion

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (onsite)

Salary: 60k-70k/yr. depending on experience

Job Description

• Integrating new hardware and complex systems (i.e. laboratory instrumentation with data collection software, EMS / BMS equipment & control / monitoring software) and PLC's

• Determining that the outcome of the integration has met the organization's needs

• Educating the organization about the system and hardware integration procedure, its implementation and its use.

• Using ICT tools to integrate and implement hardware and software solutions across an organization or its different components

• Handling a broad range of software and other programming tasks to ensure that their systems integrations are functional.

• Implementing ICT system best practices in their organization for the sake of legal and ethical policies for integration

• Defining integration strategies and methods and then planning them in accordance with established deadlines and time schedules

• Creating and providing technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations to non-technical individuals

• GMP Gap analysis of validated computer systems, then write and complete protocols to close the gaps identified.

• Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems

• Monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements

• Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems

• Install and update company software and hardware as needed

Education/Experience Required

• IT, Networking/Communication Sciences, Software Engineering degree is required

• 2 years min in either equipment software integration or in IT networking
