Job Title: Composite Technician

Job Description

As a Composite Technician, you will perform repairs on parts/components using methods such as 'Wet Layup' and 'Prepreg.' Some repairs require the use of a clean room and curing through an autoclave. Composite bonding methods utilized in repair may include co-curing, co-bonding, secondary bonding, metal bonding with adhesives in liquid form, and film. Repairs are conducted in accordance with current technical data and procedures.

Hard Skills

• Reading basic blueprints

• Using close tolerance measuring tools (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.)

• Using hand tools (drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools, etc.)

• Performing alignment/assembly using jig, templates, and fixtures

• Proper use of PPE during cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding

• Extensive use of bagging materials

• Proper bagging for a wide range of component shapes and styles

• Using a 'Hot-Bonder' type machine cure procedure

Soft Skills

This is a fully on-site position in Cedar Hill, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
