  • Job Title: Compensation Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compensation Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will apply proven compensation design theories and concepts to resolve complex tasks, ensure fairness and competitiveness in our compensation programs, and maintain internal equity. You will conduct complex analysis to inform proposals for leadership and communicate compensation practices effectively to employees and managers.

    Responsibilities

    • Apply professional compensation design theories and concepts to resolve complex tasks.

    • Utilize Radford to benchmark non-executive jobs to ensure fair and competitive compensation programs.

    • Conduct complex analysis to inform proposals for the Vice President of Human Resources.

    • Communicate directly with employees and managers, including developing and delivering training sessions on compensation practices.

    • Create and maintain updated job descriptions for use by the business and HR team.

    • Lead projects with business leaders to create job family matrix documents for career advancement transparency.

    • Formulate job offer recommendations for all hiring.

    • Lead and deliver the annual compensation planning and approval process for salary increases, bonuses, equity, and promotions.

    • Lead efforts related to internal and external audits impacting compensation and pay practices.

    • Collaborate with commercial operations on incentive compensation plan design, governance, and administration.

    • Collaborate with external vendors for salary benchmarking and assessments as needed.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    • BS/BA degree in Finance, Management, HR Management with a concentration in Compensation Administration, or a related discipline.

    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification strongly preferred.

    • 8 plus years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a dedicated Compensation specialist role.

    • Experience in the Biotech and Pharma industry strongly preferred.

    • Previous experience in HR areas such as HRIS, Benefits, and Payroll is a plus.

    • Advanced analytical and Excel skills, with a focus on modeling and advanced features.

    • Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and business communication skills.

    • Advanced interpersonal and customer service skills.

    • Proactive with excellent follow-through and team collaboration skills.

    • Experience with HRIS, compensation planning, and market benchmarking systems.

    • Outstanding attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Advanced PowerPoint skills are a plus.

    Work Environment

    Hybrid work environment, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. The office is located in South San Francisco, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00
