    As the COMPASS Multilingual Learner Instruction Specialist (MLLIS), you will lead the programmatic work of a team of COMPASS Regional Equitable Access Specialists with a specific focus on increasing access to high quality tier one instruction for students who are multilingual learners. Duties will include:

    • Provide research and guidance of the analysis of education systems through the lens of equitable access and opportunity to students who are multilingual learners.

    • Collaborate with MnMTSS and Tier 1 Learning Acceleration professional development and writing teams and COMPASS focus area needs to ensure best practices for identifying and removing barriers and for meeting the needs of multilingual learners is reflected in the development and implementation of equity focused cohesive guidance, professional learning and flexible support.

    5 years of professional teaching experience with linguistically diverse students, multilingual learners, English learners or related field

    OR

    A bachelor's degree and 4 years of professional teaching experience with linguistically diverse students, multilingual learners, English learners or related field

    Experience must include

    • Program development and evaluation

    • Leading teams

    • Planning, leading and developing professional development

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Administrative license
