    SUMMARY

    The individual will actively participate in all intern functions and programming. The intern will assist with the promotion of education and scholarship programs at Ho-Chunk, Inc., ensuring Winnebago students are aware of and participate in these opportunities, aligning program outcomes with business needs.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Understands the overall mission and model of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
    • Rotates through corporate business divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
    • Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, and propose ideas and solutions to implement.
    • Provide suggestions to management for improving internal processes.
    • Learns and becomes proficient in internal standard operating processes and software systems.
    • Assists in creating performance reports.
    • Present regarding the intern's final project presentation at the conclusion of the internship.
    • Coordinate community/company/educational events within a given timeframe and budget
    • Set agendas for and coordinate meetings with internal and external teams
    • Organize and take inventory of supplies as needed
    • Conduct research and present findings
    • Communicate with internal and external individuals and teams, including vendors, community members, partners, youth, elders, tribal leaders, etc.
    • Create and manage social media content

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma Required
    • Completed one full college semester working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree.
    • 2.5 GPA

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a seasonal position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Some travel may be required, including evenings and/or overnight, field trips, etc.
