    Position Summary

    Florida Atlantic University is seeking several Community and Academic Initiative Graduate Student Workers - Boca Raton, FL.

    Summary of Responsibilities

    • Meet with Weppner Center for LEAD and Service-Learning liaison to support logistics and communication plan for faculty members who teach an Academic Service-Learning (ASL) course.

    • Assist with implementation of the logistics and communication plans for the ASL initiative within the Weppner Center for LEAD and Service-Learning, for example, creating deadlines, emailing faculty, compiling data.

    • Collaborate with the Office of Information Technology to generate data reports throughout the semester and submit volunteer hours to the Registrar's Office.

    • Present ASL content to ASL faculty liaisons throughout the academic year at designated information sessions.

    • Assess the impact of the ASL initiative and disseminate ASL assessment information to the faculty the end of each semester.

    • Serve in additional capacities throughout the Weppner Center for LEAD and Service-Learning as the initiative and the position evolves.

    • Support the Office of Community Engagement in application drafting duties and translating ASL data into stories of community engagement impact.

    • Support communication efforts and planning for the Carnegie Community Engagement Designation Reclassification.

    • Assist with ongoing Weppner Center operations as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    FAU degree-seeking graduate student taking a minimum of six credit hours and a minimum 3.0 GPA required.

    Salary

    $15.00 per hour.
