SUMMARY:
HUB International Gulf South is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Manager to lead and manage the operational functioning and development of the Gulf South Commercial Lines departments. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations and driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, fostering relationships, and leading a team of dedicated insurance professionals to achieve business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Split time between the various Gulf South offices by maintaining a physical presence in each office as necessary per operational needs or as requested by the Commercial Lines Practice Leader
Meets operational standards as outlined by HUB Corporate
Manage, mentor and support teams across multiple offices to achieve individual and collective performance goals
Facilitate professional development opportunities and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture
Ensure the efficient handling of commercial lines accounts, including renewals, endorsements, audits and new business processing.
Monitor workflows and implement process improvements to maintain high standards of service and productivity
Act as escalation point for complex client issues, providing strategic solutions that strengthen client relationships
Partner with producers and Account Executives to deliver exceptional client service and retention strategies
Ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies across all locations
Collaborate with operation and compliance teams to address any gaps and maintain audit-ready processes
Actively participates in the hiring and new hire onboarding processes
Trains employees on duties, expectations, standards, policies and audits and reviews these areas regularly as set by standards; identifies/coordinates additional employee training as needed
Immediately and effectively addresses and resolves employee performance concerns utilizing regional human resources and operations resources as necessary
Communicates with management and employees about service structure to improve performance and productivity
Assists in developing business plans that align with the company's growth objectives
Assists in monitoring expenses and adherence to budget numbers for location or department
Conducts annual performance reviews for direct reports
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
5-10 years of experience in account/client management
Strong experience leading and managing a staff of Account Executives, Account Managers, and Account Representatives
Property & Casualty License required
Attainment of advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g. AAI, ARM, CIC, CPCU)
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with agency management systems; experience with EPIC a plus.
Seasoned in the realm of conflict resolution
Department General Management
Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience
Required Travel: Up to 25%
Required Education: High school or equivalent
